Bands of Love

This fun baby blanket is knit with different stitch patterns separated by garter bands. The side edges have a faux I-cord finish knit as you go. The garter bands have the same number of rows and the other stitch bands vary in size. It is totally reversible and looks the same on both sides. It's easy to make it wider (or narrower) by casting on more (or fewer) stitches in multiples of 20. Make it longer by repeating some bands. It's a fun blanket to customize any way you want it. The sample was knit in Premier Yarns Just Yarn Worsted in yellow using size 8/5mm knitting needles and 730 yards of yarn. Finished size wast 37" wide x 29" long and it steam blocked to 41" wide x 31" long. The four page pattern has written instructions and pictures of each stitch pattern.
