Blooming Lotus Sun Hat

This sun hat uses a stitch motif that resembles blooming lotus flowers, hence the name for this pattern. It works up quickly and looks great in single color as well as variegated and ombre yarns. The design features a wide brim for maximum sun coverage, but you can adjust the brim size to your liking. Made with worsted weight cotton yarn, it is a sturdy yet easily foldable addition to your vacation packing list and a practical accessory for any sunny day. A link to the list of possible yarn substitutions is given in the pattern. • **Yarn Amounts**: 130-340 yards/120-310 meters depending on size. • **Hook size:** US G6/4mm, or size needed to obtain gauge. • **Notions:** stitch markers, scissors, yarn needle, measuring tape. For Adult size hats, you will also need approx 5ft of galvanized wire rope, 1/16" thick.
