Faux Colorwork Bag

This cute bag is worked in a stitch that creates the illusion of colorwork simply by using different striping patterns. Choose two contrasting colors or a main color and coordinating variegated. The pattern stitch is also dense enough that it doesn't need to be lined, even though the gauge isn't particularly tight. Worked from the bottom up, in one piece, in sport weight yarn, instructions are provided for both a bag suitable for holding a laptop and a purse. You have the option of including a braided strap, and instructions are also provided for making a felted version of the bag.
