Skills: Long tail cast-on method Make 1 increase using increase method of choice Knit, purl, ssk, s2kp2 (centered double decrease) Stranded colorwork Knitting in the round Yarn: One skein each in 2 contrasting colors of Premiere Yarns Basix DK. Needles: US size 3/3.25 mm 16” circular needles, US size 4/3.5mm 16” circular needles, US size 4 double pointed needles or size needed to maintain gauge. Cable needle (or use one of the double pointed needles), Stitch Marker. Gauge: 23 stitches x 32 rows = 4 inches in plain stockinette stitch using US size 4 / 3.5mm needles Sizes: Small (child head circumference 19.5 - 20.5" by 7.5 - 8” height) Medium (small adult to medium adult head circumference 22 - 23.5" circumference by 8” height) Large (medium adult to large adult head circumference 24 - 25.5" circumference by 8.5” height)
