Preemie Octopus

These cute octopuses are called preemie octopuses because they are made for prematurely born babies to hold onto. Studies showed that preemies who cuddled up with these in their incubators had more regular heartbeats, better breathing, and higher levels of oxygen in their blood. These babies were also less likely to pull out their monitors and tubes. A theory is that the tentacles of the octopus remind these babies of their mum’s umbilical cords, and the soft bodies remind them of the womb. Cotton Yarn is needed for this.
