This is a tunisian crochet pattern. Worked flat in one piece from end to end with optional I‑cord edge and keyhole. The mini ascot has a built‑in keyhole opening and V‑shaped stripes appear on the wrong side of the fabric. You can make the scarf longer and omit the keyhole opening. Sizes: One size - customizable Finished dimensions: Length tip to tip: approx. 60 cm Width: 10 cm Yarn: fingering / 14 wpi weight wool or cotton, or lace held double Yardage: Approx. 90-120 m in total, 45-60m per color in 100g with 400m. Hook / Tools: Hook: 6 mm, tunisian hook (or you can fit the stitches on a normal crochet hook without grip) One stitch marker, tapestry needle Gauge: 10 row TSS mitered square measured diagonally = 10x10 cm. Difficulty: beginner-friendly tunisian project. Notes: Skills: Tunisian simple stitch, simple decreases/increases on forward pass, optional I‑cord. Video tutorial included. (Right and left-handed separately) Modifications: Lengthen/shorten in multiples of 2 rows, add/remove keyhole, add/remove I-cord edge. Finishing: Weave in 4 ends, block. Sample yarn used: Burgundy-blue version: DROPS Brushed alpaca silk (note:this is categorized as "aran weight" but I got the same gauge with it. The stripes are very clear, end result fluffy, lightweight and warm. White-light pink version: Hobbii Rainbow cotton 8/4 Orange version: Schachenmayr Elegant mohair held with mystery lace weight wool from my stash. Difficulty & time: Beginner-friendly Tunisian — 3-4 hours depending on yarn and size. If you live in germany length of a trainride between Berlin - Nürnberg :slightly_smiling_face: Notes on terminology: Pattern uses US crochet terms.
