First, the upper section of the back is worked flat while increases are made to shape the shoulders. The shoulder sections are then worked from stitches picked up along the slope of the back piece. The front is worked flat and is then joined with the back under the armholes. The body is then worked in the round on circular needles. Stitches are picked up along the armhole openings for the sleeves, which are then worked in the round.
