Baa-ble mug cosy

**Pattern Notes** This is a quick little project featuring the popular sheep patterns from the Baa-ble hat. It can help you practice some skills as well as helping to keep your tea or coffee warm. You will knit in the round, knit a two colour rib, knit with two colours at one time, knit a steek, cut a steek and knit an i-cord bind-off . It uses very small quantities of yarn so is a good way of using those scraps you have stashed away. I have used this pattern several times to teach Fair Isle knitting and steeking in workshops and have been asked several times about the pattern so here it is! **Yarn** Small quantities of fingering weight yarn. The sample used: Jamieson & Smith 2 ply jumper weight (100% Shetland wool; 25g balls/125/115yds) Shade 82: 1g/8m/9yds Shade 65: 1g/8m/9yds Shade 141: 2g/16m/18yds Shade FC15: 3g/24m/27yds Shade FC47: 1g/8m/9yds Shade 21: 3g/24m/27yds Jamieson & Smith Shetland Supreme jumper weight (100% Shetland wool; 50g balls/172m/188yds) Shade 2006: 5g/40m/44yds Shade 2005: 1g/8m/9yds **Notions** Set of 3 or more DPNs size 3mm (UK11/US 2-3) or a circular needle long enough to work the magic loop method. Stitch Markers (optional) Blunt tapestry needle Scissors **Gauge** 27 sts and 35 rnds over 10 cm (4 in) over Fair Isle pattern in the round using 3mm needles. It is important to get the correct gauge or it won't fit the mug of the size above. However, gauge is not critical if you are only using this project to improve your skills.
