My Little Mountain Blanket

The *My Little Mountain Blanket* REVERSIBLE pattern is the perfect treat for the little babies and bigger babies in your life. This textured, peaked design is created using only knit and purl stitches, surrounded by a generous garter stitch border. And, it bears repeating, it is reversible, with the same design on both sides, making it the perfect throw or blanket! Size and weight are easily adapted for just about any size you can imagine. The 12-stitch repeat over 8 rows shines in worsted to super bulky weights, making it suitable for many purposes from wrapping baby to gracing your bedroom or favorite sofa. Directions in US/English terms include both written and chart instructions to more easily visualize the design. After a few rows you will have it memorized, since the 12-stitch repeat is composed of groups of 5 and 7 stitches that are staggered and alternated to create the peaked design. And the wrong side row requires little to no counting--simply knit all k stitches and purl all p stitches between well placed markers. If you can count to 12, you can do this! Materials: Baby blanket size is made with double strand (2 skeins knit together) Baby Bee Sweet Delight on size US 9/5.5 mm needles. 1736 yd/1588 m of the recommended yarn is required for the double strand blanket but with a single strand of your favorite equivalent worsted weight, only half as much yarn is required. Estimates are included for additional yarn weights with the same cast on for larger throws and blankets. Blanket is knit flat but circular needles are recommended to more easily handle project.
