Woven Arches Sweater

# Coming 13th May # The Woven Arches sweater is a comfortable oversized raglan jumper with a mock neck and an oversized hem. It features a detailed ribbing and raglan stitches that flow from the neckband, down the body and merge into the hem. Twist stitches in the ribbing and raglan stitches create arches that add a unique detail to the design. The sweater is knit top-down and in the round. You start by knitting the mock neck, then work short rows for a better fit around the neck, while working the raglan increases in 4 locations around the yoke until the required length. Sleeve stitches are put on hold while working on the body, then picked up again to finish the sleeves. **Sizes** 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6), 7, 8 for bust circumferences 80, 90, 100, (110, 120, 130), 140, 150 cm / 31.5, 35.4, 39.4, (43.3, 47.2, 51.2), 55.1, 59”. Recommended ease is 15-20 cm (5.9 - 7.9”) positive ease at the bust. Sample is shown in size 1 with about 16 cm (7.1”) of positive ease at the bust. If you encounter any issue with these sizes please contact me for support :wink: **Yarn** 3 strands held together: * 2 strands of Majo Garn Tweed Supreme (fingering weight, 350 m / 383 yards per 50 g) * 1 strand of Majo Garn Pearl Mohair (lace weight, 210 m / 230 yards per 25 g) held together. This corresponds to approximately: * 1735, 1859, 2017, (2167, 2358, 2538), 2717, 2888 m / 1898, 2034, 2207, (2371, 2580, 2777), 2972, 3159 yards of Tweed Supreme. * 892, 956, 1037, (1114, 1212, 1305), 1397, 1485 m / 976, 1046, 1134, (1219, 1326, 1428), 1528, 1625 yards of Pearl Mohair. OR 2 strands of fingering weight yarn and 1 strand of lace weight mohair held together with similar characteristics as mentioned above. OR 1 strand of DK weight yarn and 1 strand of lace weight held together with which you achieve gauge. **Note:** If you increase the length of the body and sleeves, you will need more yarn than estimated above. Please keep this in mind when purchasing your yarn. The sample was knit using Majo Garn Tweed Supreme in colour 108 Linen and Majo Garn Pearl Mohair in colour 101 Oatmeal. **Needle size** 5 mm (US 8) for body and 4.5 mm (US 7) for cuffs and neckband. **Gauge** * 18 sts x 25 rounds = 10 cm / 4’’ in stockinette stitch in the round on 5 mm (US 8) needles after blocking * 20 sts x 28 rounds = 10 cm / 4’’ in ribbing pattern in the round on 4.5 mm (US 7) needles after blocking * 16 sts x 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4’’ in ribbing pattern in the round on 5 mm (US 8) needles after blocking **Materials needed** * 5 mm (US 8) and 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles. * Circular needles ranging from 60 to 120 cm. * DPNs, small circular needles for the sleeves or longer if you prefer using the magic loop method. * 7 stitch markers. * 1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round. * Waste yarn or barber cord to put stitches on hold. Tapestry needle for the bind off and weaving in the ends.
