No charts are used for this version. **ABOUT THE DESIGN** The motif of peaks and valleys are an ode to a quiet town nestled in a mountain basin in Japan where I made a home for three years. The view of undulating peaks along the horizon could be seen in almost every direction–a remarkable landscape that remains special to me. **CONSTRUCTION** Isa is a long and narrow scarf with angled points on both ends. An I-cord cast-on and bind-off along with I-cord selvedges create a tidy and smooth edge all around the scarf. The motif is worked in twisted stitches over a reverse stockinette background. **FINISHED MEASUREMENTS** Sizes: 1 (2) Width: 3.5 (3.5) inches / 9 (9) cm Length: 53.5 (64) inches / 136 (162.5) cm Shown in size 2. **YARN** Approximately 261 (306) yards / 239 (280) meters in sport weight yarn.
