PDF pattern for the Margo Top Knitting pattern + pattern look book. About the Pattern: Margo top is a striped knitted tee with a square neckline, the sleeves of the top can be altered to be short, quarter length, or long sleeve. The pattern begins by working in the round, bottom up, with body shaping (waist, bust, short rows) along the striped pattern. After the body section is complete, sleeves will begin by picking up stitches along the arm holes, working flat, and using short rows to achieve sleeve shaping. The pattern is advanced beginner and is written in english using US knitting terminology. Recreating/ redistributing this pattern into a tutorial of any kind is strictly prohibited. You may sell your finished top but please credit the pattern. Sizing *This pattern is not a traditional graded pattern It will be made- to-measurements (M2M), which means you can plug in exact measurements (in auto calculator) and recreate a top that fits like a glove. M2M also allows you to use any yarn and needle combination. Making a gauge swatch using desired yarn/hook size, and plugging in necessary measurements will formulate personalized stitch and row counts. Skills Used Long tail cast on, folded hem, stripe color work, waist decreases, bust increases+ short rows, folded BO, picking up sts along the row edge. Materials Needed * Yarn of choice *recommendations* any size between fingering and worsted weight * yardage will differ per size, refer to examples of yardage * Material of choice: I enjoy soft cottons or cotton blends, merino wool, pima cotton * Circular needles with a 40.5 cm cord (or any cord 25 cm shorter than waist size) * Needle size will differ depending on yarn size- use recommended needle size or at most 1 mm larger than recommended * Measuring tape, tapestry needle, scissors, 6~8 stitch markers, 5 clasping stitch markers Auto Calculator The auto calculator is a Google Sheet designed to skip the math and provide the exact stitch counts, row counts, and shaping you need to complete the pattern to personal materials and measurements.
