Perfect for stashbusting, the leg of the sock features simple stranded colourwork and the foot of the sock is plain stocking stitch so speedy to work, and not uncomfortable in your shoes! The pattern is designed in 7 different sizes ranging from children to large adults. It also includes instructions on how to adjust the sock length, allowing you to create a shorter or longer fit to suit your personal preference. Use larger scraps and knit your colourwork in one yarn, or work each motif in something different for greater stash usage and more whimsical socks! PATTERN INFORMATION YARN MC: 1 (1, 1, 1) (1, 2, 2) 100g skeins 4ply / fingering weight yarn. 400 metres (437 yards) / 100 grams. CC: 1 20g mini skein 4ply / fingering weight yarn. 80 metres (88 yards) / 20 grams or stash oddments Amount of yarn used: o MC: 30 (53, 92, 114) (142, 173, 213) m / 33 (58, 101, 125) (155, 190, 233) yds. o CC: 35 (61, 108, 134) (166, 203, 250) m / 39 (67, 118, 147) (182, 222, 274) yds. The MC used in the sample is Drops Fabel in colour 117 Light Blue. The CC used was an unknown yarn from stash of similar weight. However, good yarn choices would include any yarn of a similar weight that is suitable for socks. NEEDLES 2.25 mm (US 1) DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge. GAUGE 35 stitches and 44 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in worked in stranded colourwork in the round, after blocking. 35 stitches and 46 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in worked in stocking stitch in the round, after blocking. We obtained this gauge using 2.25mm needles. If necessary, change needle size to obtain gauge. NOTIONS Darning/tapestry needle. Waste yarn Stitch markers (optional).
