Frogalog

This pattern is for a frog, it’s log house and a caterpillar friend! It’s small and quick to make - an ideal gift, stocking filler or craft fair item. The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication. **You will need:** Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished frog measures approximately 7cm tall. The log section is approximately 13cm tall, or 17cm tall if you include the branch & leaves. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project. **For the frog (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:** * Green - for the head, back and legs (approx. 32m). * Cream or pale yellow - for the tummy (approx. 5m). **For the log (pages 8 - 11), you will need the following colours:** * Dark brown - for the bark and branch (approx. 60.5m). * Beige - for the 2 ends (approx. 22m). * Green - for the leaves (approx. 2m). **For the caterpillar (page 12), you will need the following colour:** * Green (approx. 4m). Please note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice. **You will also need:** * A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook. * A pair of 9mm black safety eyes. * Some toy stuffing. * A small amount of pink yarn or thread for adding the cheeks. * Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some pins. **You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
