Country Home Socks

Country Home socks are a charming colourwork and stripe design great for novice or the more experienced sock knitter. This cuff down design has a scenic countryside feel with a row of pretty houses backed with a line of leafy trees. The colourwork section is on the leg only, just enough to keep the knit interesting and the foot of the sock has a coordinating stripe repeat once an eye of partridge heel flap has been worked. **YARN** Any 4ply / fingering weight sock yarn can be used for this sock design. The yarn used for the socks in the photos is from Blue Fern Yarns. Approximate quantities are for size: UK 4 - 7 EU 36 - 41 US 6 - 10 Colour 1 - 30g / 125m (135 yrds) Beach Huts (Blue) Colour 2 - 20g / 85m (90 yrds) The Hunt (Green) Colour 3 - 20g / 85m (90 yrds) Pampus or undyed (Off White) Colour 4 - 20g /85m (90 yrds) Café au Lait (Brown) **NEEDLES** 2.5 mm / US 1.5 DPNs or circular needles for magic loop. Use needles of your preference to achieve advised gauge. If you have tension difficulties with colourwork consider increasing your needle size or knitting inside out for that section. **SIZE** In this pattern there is a stitch count for; Small 56 sts - circumference 17.5 cm / 6.75" Medium 64 sts - circumference 20 cm / 7.75" Large 72 sts - circumference 22.5 cm / 8.75" I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern if you make the purchase.
