My Team Hat

I’m not much into sports, but I know a lot of people are and I think those people need hats. This hat is designed so you can pick your team colors and make big stripes, little stripes, or the crown one color and the brim another, and so on. Bottom line is, make it the colors and color design you want, and then run around town cheering for your sports team. With my hat I chose white as my main color and dark blue as my contrasting color. I started with the main color and changed color every two rounds, then worked the brim in the main color. I’ve written this pattern for both worsted weight and DK weight yarns, preferably wool or a wool blend, but you can use cotton if you don’t like wool. Sizing is for an average adult head or a big child’s head. If you need to adjust the size try going up or down a hook size until you find a gauge that will work for you.
