Pop Leaf Sweater

A comfortable and roomy sweater with an oversized look. The sweater is crocheted top-down, making it easy to adjust the length of both the body and sleeves as you go. The work is crocheted in the round on the right side with a circular yoke, all in one continuous piece. Can be crocheted with or without a high neck. Pattern in English (US terms) and Norwegian. Skill level: ★★ (2 out of 5) Intermediate. This pattern is suited for crocheters with some experience. It is not recommended for beginners, but does not require advanced or expert skills. Hook: 6 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge. Yarn: Drops Air, 50 g / 150 m (65% alpaca, 28% polyamide, 7% wool), or another aran/worsted 10 ply yarn (Medium weight 4). Woolevo Alpaca Air is also a great alternative. Multiple size ratios are included in the pattern. The sweater has a roomy, oversized fit and is therefore offered in fewer sizes. Recommended ease is approx. 15–40 cm (6–16 inches). I personally have a bust measurement of approx. 105 cm (41 inches) and wear size L/XL, which gives about 40 cm (16 inches) of positive ease. Choose a size that is 15–40 cm larger than your actual bust, but not more. Achieving the correct gauge is important for the intended fit, but the garment is designed with generous positive ease and is therefore more forgiving than close-fitting garments. Note: The difference in bust circumference between sizes 2XL/3XL and 4XL is smaller than between the other sizes, but 4XL has wider sleeves. Photos of testers are included in the pattern to help you compare fit. Yarn usage has been carefully calculated and provides a good estimate, but may vary slightly from person to person, even with the same gauge and size. Crochet stitches are more three-dimensional than knitted stitches and can therefore vary in structure and thickness, which may affect yarn consumption.
