Marigold Cardigan

I'm planning to add more sizes to the pattern.** The Marigold Cardigan is a cropped, slightly fitted cardigan with gently flared bell sleeves. I named it after the marigolds I plant every year. Vertical cables run the length of the body and sleeves, with lace flowers in between. The neckband, hem, and cuffs are finished with a picot edge, and the front closes with a clean double-knit button band. It's knit top-down with a European drop shoulder. You start at the back, shape the shoulders with the increases worked into the chart, then pick up stitches along each shoulder slope for the two front panels. Once those are done, everything joins at the underarm and the body is worked flat down to the hem. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked in the round. **Gauge**: 23 sts and 36 rows in 10x10 cm / 4x4 in worked in pattern flat after blocking on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles. **Yarn requirements**: 350, 380, 470, (515, 630, 690) grams / 795, 875, 1096, (1210, 1480, 1615) meters / 870, 957, 1199, (1323, 1619, 1766) yards *Note**: Note: You can use any yarn if you can obtain gauge; the ideal choice is a sport weight or a light DK. **Note****: The yarn recommandation includes +10%. **Needles**: 3.5 mm (US 4), 3 mm (US 2,5) needles **Notions**: stitch markers, scrap yarn, darning needle, buttons **Sizes** (see table in the photos): Designed to be worn with approximately 4–10 cm (1.6–4 in) of positive ease.
