도안 상세 설명 구글번역기로 번역하기
The Marguerite Shawl is a lightweight, sweet little triangular shawl that is fun to knit as it alternates between bands of simple stockinette and engaging Daisy Chain lace. The idea for this scarf came to me while strolling through a park in Paris in the summer. The name “marguerite”, or “daisy” in French, evokes the memories of a joyful stroll through a garden on a sunny, breezy day. The size of the shawl is easily adjustable, which makes it perfect for using up a special single skein, multiple colors or yarn types, or leftovers in your stash. Work it up as a small kerchief, a large shawl, or any size in between!
This shawl is worked starting with a provisional cast on and a few rows of i-cord. Stitches are picked up along the i-cord edge, then increases are worked along the outer edges and center spine to create a triangular shape while maintaining the i-cord along the edges. The pattern alternates between bands of stockinette rows and Daisy Chain lace, which can be repeated as many times as desired. Once the final size is reached, an i-cord bind off is worked to complete the edges of the shawl.
**Sizes**
Adjustable.
**Finished Measurements of Samples**
Sample 1 (red): 41” / 104 cm wingspan, 14” / 35.5 cm center depth
Sample 2 (blue): 37” / 94 cm wingspan, 15” / 38 cm center depth
Sample 3 (yellow): 41” / 104 cm wingspan, 16” / 40.5 cm center depth
**Needles**
Main: US 4 / 3.5 mm, 32” / 80 cm or longer circular needles recommended
i-cord Bind off (optional) : US 2.5 / 3.0 mm
**Yarn**
Variable depending on size.
This shawl is perfect for using up a single 100g skein of fingering weight yarn, two skeins of fingering weight yarns in different colors, 50g of lace weight yarn, a combination of fingering weight and mohair, or anything in between!
I recommend a minimum of 300 yds / 274 m to achieve a small shawl wide enough to wrap around the neck once and tie.
If using two different yarns for the lace (Yarn A) and stockinette (Yarn B) sections, Yarn A uses approximately 65% of total yardage.
**Yarn used in samples:**
Sample 1 (Red):
100g The Wandering Flock Fingering Singles (100% Extra Fine Superwash Merino Wool, 400 yds / 365 m per 100g) in colorway “Poppy”
