Bramble Puppy

The Bramble Puppy is a small companion, observed along hiking trails, camping sites, and sunny beaches. Notable characteristics include tiny woollen clothes an unusually portable nature. Frequently spotted near project bags, backpacks, and windowsills. The pattern includes instructions for variations to customize your puppy. Variations can be used on their own or in combination, so you can knit up the perfect canine friend. **Size** The finished puppy is 22cm / 8.75” tall, and 20cm / 8” around at the widest point on the body (not including the arms). See the schematic in the images for all the measurements. **Yarn and Yardage** The puppy uses fingering weight cotton yarn, and needs ~70 yards. I’ve used Scheepjes Catona in colours like Bridal White, Jet Black, Topaz, and Root Beer. The sweater and pants each take 50 yards of fingering weight wool yarn. Any colours you wish will work for these, and it’s a great way to use up leftovers from other projects. I’ve used Alley Cat Yarns Smooth Sock, Sunday Fibre Co. Barefoot Sock, and Sandnes Garn Sisu, among others. If you need more ideas for fingering weight yarns for the clothes, I’ve got a blog post of all the ones I used [here][1]. **Notions** Knitting needles (DPNs or circulars for magic loop), darning needle, two pieces of scrap black DK weight yarn for eyes, scrap brown fingering weight yarn for mouth, polyfill for stuffing. **Techniques** This pattern does have some fiddly bits, including working small circumferences in the round, picking up stitches, and attaching limbs.
