Crochet top

This is a crochet pattern only, not a finished product. This is ONLY the top pattern and not the full set. The Venus top is sexy, sparkly and cute. I promise, you'll feel like a goddess wearing this. The main attraction is the cups. I've managed to make customizable cups that hug your breasts in a comfortable and secure way. They won't gap and they are size and shape inclusive. I've got all the girlies out there! Though this top is summery, you can easily wear it in cold weather too with the right layering and coat. I wore the full set in September when it was 10 degress celcius at night and stayed warm because I wore stockings, a skirt underneath the Venus one and a coat. Info: - This pattern is customisable in a few ways: you decide how lacy you want the stitches, how much coverage you want for the cups etc., how see-through you want everything, the fit and size etc. - This pattern is most suited for advanced beginners but everyone is welcome and I've added a lot of photos and tutorials to the pattern to try to make it as beginner-friendly as possible. I'm happy to help you through every step. - The pattern is made-to-measure meaning that you'll make the top according to your own measurements. However, you don't have to make a gauge swatch or take your measurements beforehand as you can compare the panels to your body as you go. - I can finish one top in 2-3 days. - This pattern uses US terminology and the metric system. - Includes a list of suggested yarn options. Materials: - Yarn: super fine to fine cotton (weight 1-2) (choose the yarn weight based on your desired thickness of the top). I used fingering weight cotton yarn (100 %, 200g/600m) from Woolstock (Danish store). The brand name is “ZLWXL”. I used approx. 150 g for the top. - 1-3 different crochet hook sizes. Main hook: 2 mm larger than the largest size listed on your yarn label. Go for 1-1.5 mm larger than the recommended one for a less lacy look or 3 mm larger for a very lacy look. I used size 4.5 mm to get a drapey look. My yarn label recommended size 1.75-2.5 mm. Secondary hook: I used size 3.5 mm for the cups and ties. If you too want the sts of the cups to be tighter than the body panel, get a hook that is 1-2 mm smaller than your main one (pick the size based on how closed stitches you want). Third hook size: If you want to work wavy sts around the border too, your third hook size is the one recommended by the yarn label.
