도안 상세 설명 구글번역기로 번역하기
The Sapporo Sweater uses mosaic colorwork to depict the mountainous northern Japanese city in the wintertime. This pattern is a great opportunity to use a variegated yarn with minimal worry about pooling and color transitions between skeins. Using a variegated main color (MC) creates a nice dappled effect for the "sky" against a snowy solid contrast color (CC). Alternatively, a dark solid MC against a bright variegated CC can be used to depict a midnight starry cityscape.
**Construction**
The Sapporo Sweater uses a drop-shoulder construction and is knit top-down with tapered sleeves.
**Sizing**
1 (2, 3, 4). Sample shown in size 1.
Chest circumference: Approx. 40 (47, 53, 60) inches / 102 (119, 135, 152) cm.
Total length from mid back (excluding neck edging): Approx. 20, (22, 24, 26) inches / 51 (56, 61, 66) cm.
Upper arm circumference: Approx. (16, 17.5, 19, 20.5) inches / (41, 44, 48, 52) cm.
There is an intended 4-10 inches (10-25cm) of positive ease.
**Yarn**
Malabrigo Arroyo, Sport/DK, 100% Superwash Merino, 306m/335yd per 100g.
3 (3, 4, 4) balls for MC (Arapey) . Approx 750 (900, 1050, 1200) m / 820 (984, 1148, 1312) yds.
2 (3, 3, 4) balls for CC (White). Approx 600 (750, 900, 1050) m / 656 (820, 984, 1148) yds.
Malabrigo Arroyo is a borderline Sport/DK yarn, but knits up with a relatively loose gauge. I would recommend DK over sport weight.
I also recommend using a darker MC than CC, one being variegated and one being solid. Ideally, the variegated yarn should not have too much value contrast to allow the CC to stand out from the MC.
**Needles and Notions**
This pattern uses 4.5mm (US 7) needles for the body and sleeves, and 4.0mm (US 6) needles for the hems. A few stitch markers and a tapestry needle are also needed.
