A perfect project for advanced beginners (and up!), it introduces compound raglan construction in simple stitches. The focus is on fit and everyday wear; it’s lightweight and drapes nicely, with ribbed edges for a classic finish. The fading stripes add a unique touch and keep the project fun and engaging - but the sweater also makes a great canvas for your own take on stripes or for showcasing beautiful hand-dyed yarns. **CONSTRUCTION** Worked from the top down. The yoke begins with shaping the neckline using short rows. Throughout the yoke, stitches are increased in each raglan seam at varying rates. The work is divided into one body and two sleeve sections. The body is worked straight. Along the sleeve, stitches are decreased to create a tapered shape. Edgings are added last. **LANGUAGE** * English (US terminology) **PROJECT LEVEL** Easy / advanced beginner. The pattern uses basic stitches and increasing and decreasing. Color 1: 03 Light Gray. Color 2: 05 Dark Gray. *Tip! Some pattern testers successfully used Category 2: FINE (sport weight) yarn for a slightly denser fabric.
