As the Northern Hemisphere shifts into Spring, Silvan Echoes captures the very moment life begins to stir after a long winter sleep. The name "Silvan" comes from the Latin silva (meaning wood or forest). Much like a sound echoing through a quiet forest, these textured stitches start in the centre and ripple outward through **3 distinct CAL parts** and difficulty levels. For those who follow the natural rhythms of the year, this pattern serves as a grounding, meditative practice. Each round builds a layer of organic texture, turning yarn into a beautiful design for your home. **How the CAL Works** The Silvan Echoes crochet pattern grows from a **doily shown here** into a cushion, and finally into a small rug or a medallion blanket. This CAL is designed so you pay only once and decide where you want to stop.  The three stages of growth in Spring: **Part 1**: The Heartwood (Doily shown here) in March-April 2026. **Part 2**: The Branching (Cushion), in April-May 2026. **Part 3**: The Finale (Small rug or medallion blanket) in May-June 2026. **How to Receive Next Parts of this CAL**: To keep the momentum going, simply upload a photo of your completed part to Ravelry and link your project to this pattern. Part 3 (finishing rounds, advanced level) is provided as written and charted instructions only. **Yarn & Hook** Recommended yarn: Cotton, cotton/acrylic blends, or high-quality acrylic in a solid color. Avoid highly variegated yarns, as they will hide the outstanding stitches. Yarn weight used: Sport / Fine (USA) / 5-ply (UK). Yardage requirements depending on the size of your project: Part 1, Doily (Rounds 1-19, *6 pages*): 130 yds (120 m), diameter: 10’’ = 25.5 cm. Part 2, Cushion (both sides, Rounds 19-40): 1040 yds (950 m), diameter: 17.7’’ = 45 cm. Part 3, Small Rug/Medallion (final rounds): 1200 yds (1100 m), diameter: 28’’ = 71 cm. You may check gauge if you wish to match the same stitch size and yarn usage; otherwise, use a hook recommended for your yarn as your main hook, and a hook 1 mm smaller for the first rounds. 3 and 4 mm hooks were used in the sample shown.
