No coupon code needed.*** My “SiRaYo“ method (Simple Raglan with yoke increases) easily creates a slightly rounded front neck, without any short rows or picking up stitches for the neck edge, as recently used for my free “Leichtmatrose“ pattern. This means the sweater is worked seamlessly, **top down in the round**, mostly with **Raglan increases**, complemented by **occasional radial yoke increases on the front** to shape the fornt neck. For the **“Deichschaf“** (dyke sheep) sweater, I have adapted the basic SiRaYo idea and shaped a deeper front neck by using a **slip stitch pattern for the front**, as is draws the fabric together lengthwise. The two stitch patterns look a bit similar, but behave differently: Broken Seed stitch is used for the back, and Tangram for the front. The sleeves are kept in Stockinette. Main needle size is **3,5mm** (or needle size to obtain gauge). 3,0mm for ribbings at neck, hem and cuff. Gauge: **24 sts × 34 rows** in Stockinette after blocking. Approx. 1000/ 1100/ 1200/ 1300/ 1400 m of a Sport Weight yarn (e.g. BC Semilla, Semilla Melange, Semilla Pura or the handdyed version by Skudderia) needed: 1/4 to 1/3 of it in contrast color CC, optionally split between different contrast colors. For the upcoming springtime, there is also a **thinner version** with a gauge of **28 sts × 40 rows**, worked with needle 3,0mm (2,5mm for the edges), in [Skudderia Organic Woolin][1] (70% Wool, 30% Linen, 466m/ 100g). Approx. 1000/ 1100/ 1200/ 1300/ 1400 m needed for this short-sleeved “Deichlamm” (dyke lamb) version.
