Wavy Fish Sunglasses Case

This is a written crochet pattern for the “Wavy Fish Sunglasses Case”- a small pouch bag with wavy blue stripes resembling the sea, and drawstring closure with a decorative fish on the end. Although designed to fit sunglasses (& standard eyeglasses), the case would also work well as an on-the-go summer themed pouch to hold other long narrow items such as crochet hooks, pens, a small handheld fan, a small sunscreen bottle, camping cutlery, earphones etc. The pattern is available in both US and UK terms. The PDF file is 9 pages long with detailed instructions and lots of photos. In addition to Ravelry, this pattern is also available on my Etsy store to purchase. This pattern is suitable for crocheters that are already familiar with basic crochet stitches/techniques (e.g ch, sc, hdc, dc, tr, inc, colour changing, etc). The sunglasses case is worked in joined rounds. This project is considered no sew as no pieces have to be sewn together. However please note yarn ends (mainly from colour changes) need to weaved in, and the drawstring needs to weaved through a round. Materials & Tools Required: •DK/8ply (OR potentially 6ply) weight yarn, in colours dark blue, medium blue, light blue and cream. •A crochet hook that matches your yarn weight and personal tension (I used 3mm). •A small amount of black yarn/thread for embroidering fish eye (optional). •Scissors •Tapestry/finishing needle •Stitch markers (optional) Using a 3mm hook and DK weight yarn my finished sunglasses case (when flat) measured 8cm wide by 17.2cm tall.
