Laced Bandit is a bandana shaped cowl and is the perfect addition to an outfit that just needs a little something to dress it up. The lace is fun and indulging for intermediate knitters who want an engagingly simple pattern. You’ll find you need one in every color. Bonus… it's a perfect pattern for the special hank that called your name. You know the one. The Laced Bandit cowl is knit top-down and starts out as a simple triangle before joining the ends in the round to add some neck-warming length. It is finished off with some fun but relatively simple lace for a lighter drape. It knits up beautifully in solids and tonal colors. But the lace doesn’t get too lost in a balanced multi-color yarn, if that's more your style. Finished Size 12 inches wide X 20 inches tall 24 inches around. Yarn Malabrigo Sock - 100% SW wool, Fingering weight. 400 meters / 100 grams (437 yards) (My samples used about 80-85 grams of yarn in Lt Fingering Weight and 90g in heavier fingering weight.) Needles and Notions 24 inch US# 4 circular needle. Two visually different stitch markers Cable needle or DPN for two small cable sts. Tapestry needle. Gauge 24 sts X 32 rows / 4 inches in stockinette stitch Skills used with knitting the Laced Bandit cowl include: garter tab cast on, knitting flat, knitting in the round, increases and decreases, simple lace stitches including YO, K2tog, ssk, and a Central Double Decrease (CDD).
