Blossom Sweater

This pattern is currently in testing phase. Release is planned for beginning of May 2026. **The Blossom Sweater is worked from the top down. First the back yoke is knit flat while short rows are worked to shape the shoulders. Then, each shoulder is picked up separately and worked flat with short rows before joining to form the front yoke. The front and back yoke are joined at the underarms to form the body, which is worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up and knit in the round with additional short row shaping. At the end, the collar is worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the neck opening.** **Sizing** Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 Bust size: 75 (85) 95 (105) 115 (125) 135 cm / 30 (34) 38 (42) 46 (50) 54” Finished Bust circumference: 107.5 (117.5) 127.5 (137.5) 147.5 (157.5) 167.5 cm / 43 (47) 51 (55) 59 (63) 67” **Yarn** Estimated yardage: 1000 (1125) 1250 (1375) 1500 (1625) 1750 meters / 1095 (1230) 1365 (1500) 1640 (1775) 1910 yards Choose any aran weight yarn or hold together two yarns that add up to an aran weight (e.g. worsted + fingering). If the sweater is knitted with one yarn and not two contrasting yarns held together you won’t have the color contrast on your rolled edges. My sample was knitted with Heavy Merino by Knitting for Olive (100g = 250m) in color undyed held together with Olivia BFL by Olivia & Oliver Fibers (100g = 400m) Elder Flower. Olivia BFL can be substituted with Merino by Knitting for Olive. **Needles** 4.5mm / US7 for body and sleeves 4mm / US6 for collar, hem and cuffs **Gauge** 16 sts and 26 rows = 10cm / 4” in moss stitch Make sure to block your gauge swatch!
