Nivel de Dificultad: Intermedio-Avanzado CONSTRUCCIÓN Carnaval es una prenda que se teje de arriba hacia abajo, con un canesú de construcción circular que combina dos técnicas: tejido a dos agujas y crochet. Esta mezcla permite crear un juego de texturas y uniones que evocan la idea de banderines enlazados. El diseño puede trabajarse en hasta cuatro colores, como en el modelo original, o en una menor cantidad, eligiendo libremente las combinaciones de color según el efecto que quieras lograr. Se inicia por el cuello, que se trabaja en elástico retorcido. Una vez terminado, los puntos se cierran y se dejan en espera para luego urdir los puntos correspondientes al primer bloque o franja del canesú. Esta primera franja incorpora algunos aumentos, necesarios para que el canesú comience a crecer. Esta franja —al igual que las siguientes— se trabaja en punto jersey e incorpora, en la parte central, algunas vueltas del punto tinny bobbles en un color de contraste. Al finalizar la franja, se une al bloque del cuello mediante crochet, utilizando un punto que genera pequeños triángulos y que simula banderines. Luego se trabaja el siguiente bloque del canesú, incorporando aumentos de la misma manera que en el primero. Al terminarlo, se une nuevamente al bloque anterior con crochet, repitiendo el punto de banderines. Este proceso se repite bloque a bloque hasta completar el canesú. Una vez finalizado el canesú, se separan cuerpo y mangas, dejando estas últimas en espera. El cuerpo se continúa tejiendo en el color principal, en punto jersey, pero incorpora algunos aumentos en los laterales que le da una leve forma de A. En los laterales, se incorpora un punto que he llamado “cruzado”. Se finaliza el cuerpo con una pretina en elástico retorcido. Finalmente, se retoman los puntos de las mangas y tienes la opción de hacerlas en manga corta, cerrándolas con un I-cord; o la versión manga larga que se trabaja por bloques con el punto banderines al igual que en el canesú. Difficulty level: Intermediate–Advanced CONSTRUCTION Carnaval is worked from the top down, with a circular yoke that combines two techniques: knitting and crochet. This combination creates textures and joins that evoke the idea of linked pennants. The design can be worked in up to four colors, as in the original sample, or in fewer colors, freely choosing the combinations depending on the effect you want to achieve. It begins at the neck, which is worked in twisted rib. Once finished, the stitches are bound off and left aside, and the stitches for the first yoke block are cast on. This first block includes increases that allow the yoke to begin growing. This block — as well as the following ones — is worked in stockinette stitch and includes, in its center, a few rounds of Tinny Bobbles in a contrasting color. When the block is finished, it is joined to the neck block using crochet, with a stitch that creates small triangles that resemble pennants. The next yoke block is then worked, incorporating increases in the same way as the first one. Once completed, it is joined again to the previous block using crochet, repeating the pennant stitch. This process is repeated block by block until the yoke is complete. Once the yoke is finished, body and sleeves are separated, leaving the sleeves on hold.
