> ✨ **New Release Special** – To > celebrate the launch of ***Interstellar***, > enjoy 20% off for two weeks ✨ > > Use code: INTERSTELLAR20 > > Valid: 27 February to 14 March 2026 **Interstellar Crochet Scarf** Exploding stars. Tranquil moons. One reversible design. **About this Design** Interstellar is a quiet conversation between light and shadow, stitched from small moments into a long, flowing story. Each motif holds its own tiny universe: on one side, the circular centre radiates outward like an exploding star, full of energy and motion; turn the fabric over, and it softens into a moon, calm and reflective, suspended within its square frame. As the scarf drapes and shifts, these dual identities reveal themselves in flashes — stellar brilliance giving way to lunar stillness. Designed with scrap yarn in mind, Interstellar celebrates variation and contrast. Fingering weight (4-ply) leftovers are transformed into a harmonious mosaic, where subtle shifts echo the randomness of a night sky — nebula blues, silvery greys, deep twilight tones, or whatever fragments your stash has been quietly saving. Motifs can be joined as you go, creating a seamless fabric without the need for post-construction seaming, or seamed together once you have finished all your motifs. Lightweight yet richly textured, Interstellar is both practical and poetic: warmth wrapped in story, colour arranged like constellations, remnants reimagined as something expansive. It invites you to look closer, to turn it over in your hands, and to lose yourself — just briefly — in its stitched cosmos. **Gauge** A single blocked motif crocheted with a 3.0mm (UK size 11) hook measures 3.0 in/7.6 cm when measured across the full width of the motif. A close match to gauge is important to ensure your finished scarf achieves the intended dimensions. **Yarn** This design requires a range of colours in fingering/4-ply weight yarn, and the yarn amounts needed for each colour will vary from project to project. For a single motif, you will need: • 4.0 yd/3.66 m for the centre colour of each motif. • 8.9 yd/8.14 m for the border colour of each motif. The finished scarf contains 60 completed motifs, which means that you will need a total of: • 240 yds/219.6 ms for all the centre motifs. • 534 yds/488.4 ms for all the border edges. The sample Interstellar Scarf used a total of 20 different colours in shades of blue, green, teal, aqua, grey and various multi-dye combinations, all drawn from 4-ply/fingering-weight leftovers in my stash. **Hooks** 3.0 mm (UK size 11) crochet hook. **Notions** Tapestry needle. Blocking materials. **Pattern Details** • Written instructions (12 pages) • Video + technical resource links • Professionally technically edited by Susan Marcille Stitches (susanmarcille@gmail.com).
