This pattern is for the mouse, its outfits and accessories as well as the opening bank vault! The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication. **You will need:** Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. My finished bank vault measures approximately 18.5cm tall, 15.5cm wide and 16cm deep. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project. **For the mouse (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:** * Main mouse colour - I used pale grey or cream (approx. 23.5m per mouse). * Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink *approx. 13m per mouse). **For the robber’s outfit (pages 9 - 13), you will need the following colours:** * Black - for the trousers, mask, gloves & striped top (approx. 19m). * White - for the striped top & dynamite fuse (approx. 7.5m). * Brown - for the swag bag (approx. 19.5m). * Yellow - for fastening the swag bag & the torch (approx. 2.5m). * Grey - for the torch (approx. 2.5m). * Red - for the stick of dynamite (approx. 2.25m). **For the security guard’s outfit (pages 9, 14 - 16), you will need the following colours:** * Black - for the trousers, tie & jacket (approx. 27m). * White - for the shirt (approx. 10m). * Dark Grey - for the walkie-talkie radio (approx. 2.5m). **For the vault & accessories (pages 17 - 30), you will need the following colours:** * Light grey - for the outer walls & door (approx. 313m). * Green - for the inner walls, door, shelf & flap (approx. 334m). * Dark Grey - for the keypad & door handle (approx. 15.5m). * Brown - for the trays (approx. 30m). * Yellow - for the embroidered details & cheese to go inside the safe (approx. 20m). Please Note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice. **You will also need:** * A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook. * A pair of 6mm black safety eyes per mouse. * Some toy stuffing. * Small amounts of black, white & yellow finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face (this step is optional), to the vault’s keypad & to the security guard’s jacket. * A button per outfit for fastening the trousers. The ones I used were 15mm in diameter. * A button for fastening the vault. The one I used was 15mm in diameter. * Some ‘treasure’ to fill the trays inside the vault - I use sparkly buttons, strings of beads or sequins. * ‘7 count’ plastic canvas. I had a 26cm x 33cm sheet (that’s 10.25 x 13.5 inches) & I used 2.5 sheets. A higher count (that’s the number of holes per inch) will mean the plastic is more bendy so stick to 7 count if possible. If your plastic feels very bendy, you may wish to insert multiple layers of plastic into the panels to make your vault stronger. I source my plastic canvas (sturdy & good quality) from wool warehouse. If you use a thicker yarn than I did, I strongly recommend using more layers of plastic to help support the extra yarn weight. * Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers. **You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
