Entire wingspan is cast on for back, and short rows are worked to shape neckline & shoulders simultaneously. Next, straight stockinette is worked until half cuff circumference is reached at edge of work, then short rows are worked to shape lower sleeve and remaining back. Back sts are held. Front sts are picked up from original cast-on and shaped same as back. Front and back panel are joined at each underarm with three-needle bind-off, creating the sleeves, while body stitches are held in same row.
