Simple Doily

This is a pattern for a small, round crochet doily made with a small amount of 100% mercerized cotton yarn, category 2 and a hook size D (3.25 mm). Another option would be mercerized cotton thread size 3. You can even use size 10 thread (with a matching size hook), but the finished doily will be significantly smaller. Specific yarn that I used for the doily shown in the photos is YarnArt Begonia. The finished doily measures about 7 inches in diameter. The skill level is advanced beginner.
