Crisp lines flow diagonally across the surface, echoing the meeting of opposing currents and giving the design its distinctive sense of motion. Knit flat on the bias, Crosscurrent begins at the top left corner and grows through carefully placed increases and decreases. Worked with two contrasting shades of sport weight yarn, the mosaic-style colorwork is intuitive, engaging, and a joy to knit – worked one color per row. After blocking, the cowl is seamed using mattress stitch for a smooth, nearly invisible finish.
