Bugs and Kisses Beanie

Hello critter knitters, and happy February! This beanie was inspired by two of my favorite things...bugs and kisses...and I figured it was the perfect pattern to chart out one of my most requested insects, the ladybug! Perfect to knit for your person(or for yourself!) and comes with a secret, sexy (literally) chart, along with the usual onslaught of insect information. Just in case you need to make small talk about insect reproduction at a bar this Valentine's day. Bugs and Kisses is a DK/sport weight beanie. It is knit from the bottom up, with an interchangeable chart for the brim featuring two ladybugs…furthering the species, if you catch my drift. The folded brim is worked to align seamlessly with the pattern when worn up, and then some light compound decreases shape the top. This is the perfect hat to knit for the bug lover in your life, to shower them with bugs and kisses…oops, I mean hugs and kisses. **Materials** Yarn Any DK or sport weight yarn will work for this. Because the original sample combines a DK and sport weight, I would recommend working with whichever weight brings you to gauge!
