Granny on the Go

Granny On-the-Go is a matching granny square cup cozy and hat appliqué pattern designed for quick makes and gift-giving. This pattern features a classic granny square motif adapted into a large cup cozy and a coordinating granny square hat appliqué, making it perfect for scrap yarn projects, beginner crocheters, and handmade gifts. The cup cozy fits most standard tumblers and coffee cups, while the hat appliqué can be glued or sewn onto baseball caps, beanies, or other accessories for a cohesive, on-the-go look. This pattern includes instructions for both a 30 oz and 40 oz sized tumbler with a closed handle (similar to a Stanley cup), as well as a 40 oz open handle tumbler, with instructions for how to best modify for other types of tumblers. Supplies Needed * Size 4 worsted weight yarn, 4-5 colors, approx. 50-75 yards total (approx. 10-15 yards per color) 5.0 mm hook or size needed to obtain gauge, plus a hook size smaller than hook used to obtain gauge (4.25 mm and 3.75 mm) Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure, stitch markers 4-10 mm beads or buttons (I am using mushroom style pearl buttons), only needed for closed handle styles 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) D-ring (optional; for accessory attachment) Hot glue gun and glue sticks (for hat applique attachment) Terms Used & Abbreviations Pattern is written in US terminology.
