This pattern is written as a flexible recipe for a lightweight triangular scarf, worked from the top down with increases on every right‑side row. As the scarf grows, delicate pointelle bands are introduced once there are enough stitches to work full repeats. Slip‑stitch edges are used throughout to give the scarf a clean, polished finish. Because the final size is entirely up to you, yarn choice and meterage are intentionally left open. I encourage you to choose a yarn you love and adjust the size to suit your preferences. To help the pointelle details really shine, try using a needle size slightly smaller than the one usually recommended for your yarn—this creates a denser fabric and brings out the texture beautifully. For my sample, I worked with a fingering‑weight yarn held together with a lace‑weight yarn, using 3 mm needles. This combination produced a light yet well‑defined fabric, and I used approximately 450 m of each yarn to achieve a top edge measuring about 125 cm. You can use this as a helpful reference when planning your own version, adjusting yarn amounts as needed for your preferred size. You will also need two stitch markers and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends. If you notice any errors or have suggestions to share, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—I’d love to hear your feedback.
