No Purl Lattice Scarf

This scarf may look complex but it is in fact surprisingly easy to knit and best of all there is absolutely no purling in the entire pattern! The textural lattice design is created with slip stitches and simple 1/1 cross cables on a background of garter stitch. There is also a beautiful edge stitch that is simple to make and keeps the edges tidy and pairs perfectly with the slip stitch design motif. The pattern is offered in 1 size as a quick to knit up scarf, however it is easy to adjust the length or width as desired for a larger scarf or you could even make it extra wide to turn it into a shawl. Instructions for adjusting the size are included. The recommended yarn is Rowan Cotton Cashmere, however any dk or light worsted yarn of your preference would also work great, just be sure to choose a yarn with good stitch definition and not too much color variation. It is also not required to hit exact gauge for this pattern. The scarf is knit flat from end to end using only knit stitches. Experienced beginners should have no problem with this pattern as long as they are familiar with slipping stitches with yarn in front and how to do a 1/1 cable.
