What does Salt do???? **All Proceeds from the sale of this pattern will be donated to Cats on a Couch and Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance** This is a 22" adult color work hat suitable for adventurous beginners and beyond. I recommend using non-super wash wool or wool blend yarn. Two strands of lofty worsted weight, woolen spun yarn are held together to make a chunky yarn. If you decide to use worsted spun yarn held together, I suggest using a DK weight instead. Of course, chunky yarn will also work! If you want a larger hat, go up a needle size. The prototype was knit on US size 9 needles for an adult (24"). The sample was knit on US size 8 needles (22"). Link to stranded knitting tutorial included in pattern. I use two Blue Sky Fiber 50g skeins of Woolstok in Thermal Spring held double for the MC and one 50 g skein of Woolstok in Red Rock held double for CC. Use any combinations of yarn you would like to get gauge. Total yardage is approximately 250 yds of MC and 123 yds of CC.
