The name Encantada means “enchanted” in Spanish, a nod to my own journey learning the language, and it felt just right for a design that features a beautifully textured lace pattern with soft, drapey movement. This scarf is wonderfully flexible: the pattern includes three ready-to-go sizes (S, M, and L), but you can easily adjust the length or width to make it truly your own. Whether you want a lightweight accent piece or a cozy wrap, the *Encantada Scarf* adapts beautifully to whatever size and yarn you desire. The *Encantada Scarf* is written for DK weight yarn on 4.5 mm needles, but the beauty of this design lies in its flexibility. It works just as well in fingering, worsted, or even chunky yarn, adapting easily to whatever you have on hand. To let the lace shine, choose a solid or softly tonal colorway—deep or heavily variegated shades may hide the detail. Gauge isn’t fussy here, so you can settle in and enjoy the knit without stress. The construction is simple but satisfying. A short garter increase section at the beginning gently builds width, easing you into the rhythm of the pattern. From there, you’ll move into a textured lace repeat that’s elegant, drapey, and easy to memorize. When you’re ready to finish, garter decreases mirror the start, shaping the other end into a clean point. A faux I-cord edging is worked as you go, giving the scarf a polished look with no extra effort. The pattern is offered in three sizes—S, M, and L—but it’s designed to be customized. Adjust the length, width, or yarn weight to make anything from a light, narrow scarf to a generous, cozy wrap. The repeat is worked over a multiple of 4 stitches plus 11, making it easy to size to your liking, and notes are included to help you plan yardage and dimensions. Please note that there is no exact yardage required for this pattern. The reason is because, obviously, everyone likes a different scarf length and I cannot accommodate all of that in the yardage. Same goes for the measurements, I have only included the length of my sample in the pattern.
