Scalloped Edge Scarf or Cowl

You can make this pattern as narrow as you want (24 chs) or wider (32 chs or more); since I make this as an infinity scarf, I use a foundation of 40 chs with sport weight yarn (2), which is what the Merino wool is in the Blossom sport cakes of 515 yards; this is enough to complete the length of the scarf and fasten it at the ends. In the first row after you have made it as wide as you want, you turn the work upside down to create the scallops; Row 3 is the repeat row where you can make the scarf as long as you want it to be. Pattern stitch is in multiples of 4.
