- German - **Samba Toe Up** Diese Socken werden von der Spitze bis zum Bündchen (Toe - Up) nach oben gestrickt. Die Sambaferse sorgt auch umgedreht für eine gute Passform und farbige Ringel bringen Abwechslung und Strickvergnügen, etwas größere Reste finden Verwendung. Das Bündchen kann einfach gearbeitet oder doppelt gelegt und zusammen gestrickt werden. Beide Versionen sind in der Anleitung erklärt. **Größen** 6 Weiten, 60/64/68/72/76/80 M, Längen siehe Größentabelle in der Anleitung. **Garnvorschlag** Alle Sockengarne mit einer LL von 360 - 425m / 100 g. Für Weite 64 M, gestrickt auf 2,25 mm Nd und in Länge 38/39, habe ich 40 g der Hauptfarbe (Braun in den Fotos) und je Kontrastfarbe ca. 20 g benötigt. Bitte denke daran, für größere Weiten und Längen entsprechend mehr Garn einzuplanen. **Werkzeuge** 1 Rundstricknadel mit mind. 80 - 100 cm langem Seil oder entspr. Nadelspiel, 2,25 - 2,5 mm, passend zum Garn und deiner Strickfestigkeit. Maßband Nähnadel zum Vernähen der Fäden 2 Maschenmarkierer evtl. Rundenzähler Maschenprobe 31 M / 48 Rd auf 10 x 10 cm, gewaschen, in der Rd gestrickt, auf dem Sockenbrett gemessen. - English - **Samba Toe Up** The Samba Toe Up socks are worked from the tip of the toe up to the cuff. The heel that I have used with my Samba socks works the other way round, too, and ensures a good fit. Colored stripes add variety, make knitting fun and are perfect for using up (larger) scraps of yarn. The cuff can be worked single or folded. Both versions are explained in the instructions. **Sizes** 6 width, 60/64/68/72/76/80 sts, for foot length specifications, please see size chart in pattern. **Suggested yarn** All sock knitting yarns with a yardage of 360 - 425 m (393 – 465 yds)/100 g will work fine. For width 64 sts, shoe size 38/39, using 2.25 mm (US 1) needles, I needed approx. 40 g of yarn for the main colour (brown in the pictured sample) and approx. 20 g each of both contrasting colours. Please remember to allow for more yarn for wider and longer socks. **Notions** A circular knitting needle, 2.25 mm (US 1) – 2.5 mm (US 1.5), cable 80 – 100 cm (32 – 40”) long. The tip size should match your yarn and give you gauge If you prefer to work with DPNs, just distribute the stitches evenly over 4 needles instead of 2 (ndl 1 = DPN 1 + 2, ndl 2 = DPN 3 + 4) Measuring tape, tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers, row counter (optional) **Gauge** 31 sts x 48 rnds = 10 cm (4“) square, knitted in stockinette stitch in the round, after washing and blocking, measured on a sock blocking board.
