Last Minute Scarf

**Difficulty** Medium. Some challenging stitches to work in fluffy yarn. **Yarn** Rauma Alpaca Silk, 65% alpaca, 25 % silk and 10 % merino, 219 y (200m)/25 g, or similar super fluffy brushed alpaca, cashmere or mohair lace yarn. For scarf size as shown you need 109 y (100m). One ball (25g) makes 2 small scarves or 1 larger. **Construction** You will begin with just a few stitches at the center bottom and work up, increasing at both sides until desired size is reached. **Size** Any size. As shown 15.5 x 33.5 inches (40 x 85 cm). You can change size as wanted. Changing the size will change the amount of yarn needed. **Needles** US 8 (5 mm) or the largest size suggested on your yarn label. If you’re a tight knitter, pick one or two sizes larger than the largest size. **Gauge** Gauge is not important for fit, so use a needle size that gives you a fabric you like. The stitch pattern is easier to work if you keep the stitches a bit loose.
