Diminishing Returns Scarf

The Diminishing Returns Scarf is a cosy, squishy scarf worked in the round. The fun 2-colour striping sequence gradually shifts the stripe width ratio creating a graphic fade from the first colour to the second. I did not come up with the stripe sequence in the scarf pattern; I've seen it on shawls, bags and sweaters over the years. It's a fun, intuitive and beginner-friendly stripe pattern that practically knits itself. It's great worked in high-contrast colours but would also be lovely in more subtly contrasting shades. I love a luxury fibre, handed-dyed yarn as much as the next knitter. Sometimes however, the price-point might be out of reach, or maybe I just want a quick and inexpensive project on my needles. The Diminishing Returns Scarf was designed with that in mind. I used cost-effective, easy to find yarns for both samples. This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
