The Bombadil scarf is knit corner to corner (so on the diagonal) which makes it really easy to adjust to any yarn and any gauge! The scarf has very minimal purling, while it’s still full of texture. Once you find a nice rhythm in the different brioche stitches I find it a very fun knit! **Materials** The Lilac sample is knit in 6 balls of Alta Moda Cashmere 16 by Lana Grossa, or 650m of bulky yarn The Bordeaux sample is knit with 250 gr of Ecopuno by Lana Grossa, or 1075m of fingering weight yarn You can use any yarn at any gauge as the pattern is super easily adjustable! **Measurements of the scarf after blocking** 185 x 30 cm, but easily adjustable to any size and any gauge **Needle size** 6mm/US10 circular or straight needle for bulky 3.5mm/US4 circular or straight needle for fingering weight yarn **Gauge after blocking, in regular brioche** Bulky: 10 st x 16 rows Fingering: 16 st x 25 rows Note that 1 brioche row is two knitted rows The most important thing is to achieve a fabric you like. Since the dimensions of the scarf are easy to adjust, you can also use an entirely different yarn weight and needle size and simply knit it to the dimensions instead of stitch counts. Make sure to block your swatch, as brioche stitch often grows. Your scarf will be shorter and a bit stiffer before blocking than it will be afterward. **Techniques used** Honeycomb brioche Regular brioche Stockinette icord
