Breanne Baby Blanket

✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽ Breanne Baby Blanket A pretty square baby blanket crochet pattern created from the center out. Pattern uses different stitch patterns to create the story of the blanket. My niece had a baby boy on January 2. It’s my brother & sister-in-law's first grandchild. When I found out she was pregnant I started thinking about a baby blanket. They are grain farmers so wanted something “farm” themed. It took a while to figure out sections, then hours and hours of experimenting with stitches to make it work in yarn. The story behind the blanket. Center: Rays of sunshine Section 1: Seeds planted in the ground. Section 2: Sprouts with buds. The last section is wheat. The border is also supposed to represent the sun rays. You know when you were little and you would draw the sun as a circle with triangles around it? That is the border. I had a lot of fun (& some frustration) creating the pattern and the blanket. It is not a beginner pattern! You need to be comfortable with front post stitches, and puff stitches.
