Fuck ICE

I have been wanting to design and make this square for a while now, and today, after Renee Good's murder, it seemed like a good day. This square is meant to honor victims of ICE, including Silverio Villegas Gonzalez, Carlos Roberto Montoya Valdez, Genry Ruiz Guillén, Serawit Gezahegn Dejene, Maksym Chernyak, Juan Alexis Tineo-Martinez, Brayan Garzón-Rayo, Nhon Ngoc Nguyen, Marie Ange Blaise, Abelardo Avellaneda Delgado, Jesus Molina-Veya, Johnny Noviello, Isidro Pérez, Tien Xuan Phan, Chaofeng Ge, Lorenzo Antonio Batrez Vargas, Oscar Rascon Duarte, Norlan Guzman-Fuentes, Miguel Ángel García Medina, Santos Banegas Reyes, Ismael Ayala-Uribe, Huabing Xie, Leo Cruz-Silva, Hasan Ali Moh’d Saleh, Josué Castro Rivera, Gabriel Garcia Aviles, Kai Yin Wong, Francisco Gaspar-Andrés, Pete Sumalo Montejo, Shiraz Fatehali Sachwani, Jean Wilson Brutus, Fouad Saeed Abdulkadir, Delvin Francisco Rodriguez, Nenko Stanev Gantchev, Keith Porter and Renee Nicole Good. I know this is a far from extensive list in both name and ICE crimes, but I wanted some of their name here. This pattern is written for interlocking crochet, however a chart for mosaic crochet and basic c2c is included. **There are no instructions for the mosaic crochet or c2c - just the chart, so you will need to have prior knowledge or look up how to do these techniques.** The methods have not been tested, so if you find any errors please alert me. (I have also never used the c2c part of my software - I generated this on request and genuinely do not know if there are errors) This square is the same size as my other interlocking patterns, so it will fit with any of those squares if you are interested in assembling pieces together. With a 5 mm hook and worsted weight yarn the square ends up being approx 12 inches by 12 inches. In the photo I used fingering weight yarn that I dyed and a 3.75 mm hook and it is about 8 inches by 8 inches. Please let me know if you have any other questions. -SJ
