**About** The Apapacho Socks are knit cuff down with a 2x2 rib cuff and defining lacework patterns, and feature a modified slip stitch heel flap and gusset for durability and style. The toe is finished by making decreases and then grafting the live stitches closed for a seamless fit. This pattern was knit using a combination of 23 cm / 9 in circular needles and dpns, but your favorite method will work just as well (magic loop, DPNs, 23 cm / 9 in circulars, or any other method)! **Sizes** 1 (2, 3) The Apapacho Socks are designed to fit a foot circumference of 17–19 (20.5–23, 23.5–25) cm / 6½–7½ (8–9, 9¼–10) in, with a slight negative ease. The leg and foot length can be easily adjusted as needed. The sample was knit in size 3 to accommodate a US size 8, 24 cm / 9½ in foot circumference. **Materials** Holly Dyeworks Pine Twist Base. 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon. 462 yards / approx. 422 meters per 100g skein. Approximately 205-215 (245-255, 270-290) yards / approx. 187-197 (224-233, 247-265) meters of any fingering weight sock yarn will be needed. Yarns with at least 25% Nylon composition are recommended for durability to accommodate rough wear around the heels and toe of the sock. The sample was knit in Holly Dyeworks Pine Twist Base in colorway 12 Suspects, and used approx. 272 yards / approx. 249 meters for size 3. *Keep in mind that your yardage/meterage will vary if you add length to the leg and foot of the sock. **Gauge and Needles** Gauge: 32 sts x 44 rnds = 10 cm / 4 in stockinette using 2.5mm (US 1.5) needles; the gauge was taken after blocking. *Keep in mind that the lace work will expand slightly after blocking.
