Eliza Dishcloth

Eliza Dishcloth is the September 2025 design for the Year of Dishcloths pattern club. My Fair Lady (or Pygmalion) is one of my all time favourite musicals (I’ve seen it performed live many times) and I think the music and songs are the best! From favourite songs like Wouldn’t it Be Loverly to The Rain in Spain and I Could Have Danced All Night, this record gets a lot of play on my turntable! Eliza Dishcloth (inspired by Eliza Doolittle) is a fun, potato-chippy pattern that uses only knit, purl and slip stitches and knits up into a pretty dishcloth with lots of fun texture. When I launched this year’s pattern club with a design inspired by The Sounds of Music, many of mentioned that My Fair Lady was another of your favourites and I have to agree! Julie Andrews is such an amazing talent!
