Around Town Cap

The AROUND TOWN CAP is a snug, practical design made to keep you warm while you cruise along the city streets. With curved earflaps that hug the ears and a smooth silhouette that fits comfortably under a bike helmet when needed, it’s the perfect companion for chilly commutes and breezy neighborhood strolls. Worked bottom-up, the cap begins with 1×1 rib twisted through the back loop (tbl) to create a clean, firm edge. First the earflaps, and the face opening are formed with short rows, before the crown is worked in Stockinette Stitch. Finally decreases are used to form the top of the cap for a sleek finish. The pattern is available in 3 Sizes for female and male adults. It is worked in a sport weights/DK (sport) yarn combination like one strand Cardiff Cashmere "Classic" (2 skeins) plus one strand Cardiff Cashmere "Prime" (1 skein). Alternative yarns: Isager "Soft Fine" one strand [1 (2, 2) skein], plus one strand Isager "Alpaca1" (1 skein).
